DESCRIPTION

This 30-hour course is designed to introduce the students with a desire to learn the basics of producing electrical construction estimates. This course is an introduction to the principles and methods used in the evaluation of tender specifications and drawings for measurement and pricing of materials and labour for electrical projects.

This course will take students from an overview of electrical estimating to performing actual estimates. The focus is on practical information. Topics such as where to start, takeoff, material, pricing, recapping, quotations and submissions are covered. Students will also be introduced to computer aided estimating software.

The objective of this course is to provide students with the basics of producing electrical construction estimates.
Learning materials, coffee and snacks are provided for all sessions.
