Textbooks During Technical Training
The Nova Scotia Government covers textbooks required for in-school Technical Training. Apprentices should review the financial supports available through the Nova Scotia Apprenticeship Agency to confirm eligibility and funding details. Red Seal Exam Preparation
For apprentices who are in Level 4 or preparing to write their Red Seal exam, the Union Training Fund will reimburse the cost of:
- CSA Canadian Electrical Practice Exam (CEPE)
- CSA Canadian Electrical Trade Study Guide
Apprentices must purchase these materials first and then submit their receipts. Receipts must be emailed to the Training Director upon purchase, along with your name and confirmation that you are preparing to write your Red Seal exam.
Health & Welfare Benefits During Technical Training
While attending in-school Technical Training, eligible IBEW 625 apprentices may also apply for support through the Union Training Fund to cover Health & Welfare benefit costs during their training period. Apprentices must apply for this support here: Health and Welfare Benefit Coverage
