Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee Courses

JATC Course Calendar

Below you will find links that include a brief description and available dates for our numerous courses which are offered to both Journey-persons and Apprentices.

These courses are fully funded by the Union Training Fund which contributes $0.31 per hour to the Electrical Training Trust Fund, this means that all courses are provided to all members free of charge. The majority of the courses are held during the evenings and on Saturdays. Coffee and snacks are provided during all training sessions.

Each course is approximately thirty hours in length and is delivered by an industry expert. If you are an apprentice these training courses will count towards your apprenticeship hours.

What is the JATC?

The JATC is the Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee. It holds a Joint Registration Agreement (JRA) with the Contractors and the province. The JATC will provide in house supplemental training in areas which the board thinks need improvement.

How is the JATC Funded?
